Snowshine

Every so often, you'll get snow flurries that reflect the sunlight so that at just the right angle, the snowflakes will glitter like diamonds as they float through the air. The effect seems to be more common in the morning, which I suppose is due to the light coming in from more of a sideways angle, as well as the fact that you can have clouds overhead (dropping snowflakes), with the sun still shining from the horizon. It's beautiful (and even prettier when there's already a layer of snow on the ground). I think I'll call it snowshine.
