Perhaps not literally, but one of the first things I see in the morning is my reflection in the bathroom mirror. Of course, I'm not a morning person (definitely more of a night owl), so "first thing in the morning" to me is less "first light" and more like 10 or 11 o'clock in the morning. >.>
