The Pink Room

I took these shots after I moved in August of last year. I didn't share them at the time because I wasn't ready to show off my room just yet. But by now you've seen it many times. The walls were done before I inherited the room, but I took advantage of the opportunity to deck it out in pinks and purples and princesses and faeries and mermaids. Now it's my sanctuary. I can come in here and feel like I'm getting to have the girlhood I never had growing up, because I had just assumed, like everyone else, that because of my anatomy, I was a boy. Well, now I'm fixing that mistake.

Fitting room photoshoots are always hit or miss. First, there's the question of how good a particular article of clothing will look on you. Then you have the challenge of striking a flattering pose and taking a steady picture while holding the phone and pointing it at the mirror (not always easy to do). Sometimes you'll end up with blurry, not-so-good pictures of some of the outfits - that's why you don't always see everything I try on (and like) any given time I go into the fitting room. This gold and black dress looked really nice, though - but its zipper was busted (and wouldn't zip up all the way even if it wasn't).

Summer Camp

I'm pretty sure I never posted these shots from last year. Normally, I'd say that what happens at summer camp stays at summer camp, but these pictures were just too good not to share.
