My Halloween costume this year is The Emperor's New Clothes. Obviously a protest against the current administration, it can be interpreted in one of two ways. First, by bringing attention to the brazenly blatant - one might say "naked" - corruption on display. And second, as a reflection of all the lies and distortions of reality the President blurts out, and simply expects the people (at the very least, his sycophants) to accept uncritically and without question, despite the contradicting information provided by their own senses.
It's highly topical, deeply in line with my beliefs and passions - and, hey, I can't turn down an opportunity for a little naked protest! I don't know if it's a very practical outfit for trick-or-treating, though... (Despite the President's penchant for grift and bribery, not to mention his famous friendship with the world's most notorious ex-child sex trafficker). The only inaccuracy in this costume is the fact that I'm undeniably attractive, and the President is a revolting blob. But you can just chalk that up to being part of his grand self-delusion. (You're welcome -_^).
